A Gift

The greatest gift is to share.

At this sacred time of year, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, God’s gift to humanity.  My gift to you is pale in comparison, but I would like to share my Christmas Eve drive out into the desert bush of central Arizona to what is known as the Palatki Ruins near Sedona.

A Prayer for Christmas Morning

by Robert Louis Stevenson

The day of joy returns, Father in Heaven, and crowns another year with peace and good will.

Help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.

Close the doors of hate and open the doors of love all over the world.

Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing that Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clean hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and the Christmas evening bring us to our bed with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven for Jesus sake.

Shanomi, “A Gift” was outstanding. The pictures were breath-taking. I want to go with you when you go again. I didn’t realize it was so beautiful back there. Anyway, great job and your prayer was very well put in words and I so enjoyed the prayer. You do so great with your words in writing and that is one of many reasons why I enjoy talking to you. Keep up the GREAT work.

Thank you, Wind Dancer, for your encouraging words. We will definitely go back to the ruins together, as your spirit was there with me Christmas Eve and so much of what I saw made me think of you. Feliz Navidad.
